Quoting & Platform

How fast can a Florida agent get a home quote with Fetch?

A ranked, apples-to-apples lineup across ~80% of what agents write in about seven seconds; the bindable quote is finalized in the carrier portal in about a minute.

What policy types can Fetch quote?

All personal-lines home at once — DP1, DP3, HO3, HO5, HO8. Flood is live; condo (HO6) is targeted for Q4 2026.

Do you have my carriers?

Fetch is integrated with 20+ of the Florida carriers writing today, and adds more as they open their APIs. You only see carriers you're appointed with, so the list is custom to your agency.

Can Fetch quote Citizens?

Citizens isn't in Fetch — EZLynx holds exclusive API access. For most agents it's rarely a dealbreaker, and Citizens itself uses Ellie's underwriting internally.

Is a fast quote actually accurate?

Fetch gives you the ranking, and the ranking is stable — adjust a variable and every carrier moves together, so the winner stays the winner. It is 100% accurate for the data we send to the carrier.

Why does the premium change when I bridge to the carrier?

Two normal reasons: Fetch quotes every carrier on identical assumptions for an apples-to-apples baseline, if you make any changes or endorsements that could alter the premium. We run the quotes as "excellent credit" up front, but when you run the actual credit score at the carrier, rates may change. Carriers do not allow us to run the credit up front due to costs incurred.

What is Ellie VA (email-to-quote)?

Forward a client email, a PDF (wind-mit, 4-point, dec page), or an Excel list to Ellie VA and she quotes it in minutes — finished quotes land in Fetch and your carriers, with no manual data entry.

What is the EOS consumer quote link?

A branded, mobile-friendly quote link that's yours — put it in your email signature, an ad, or behind a QR code. A client or realtor fills it out, gets real quotes in seconds, and the lead drops into Fetch. You own the lead. Try it out here: https://quote.askfetch.com/youragencyname/quote

Do I still bridge to the carrier to bind?

Yes — one click drops you into the winning carrier's portal with everything pre-filled; you make your endorsements and bind there.

Does Fetch replace my rater (QuoteRush / EZLynx)?

In Florida, for the bulk of what you write, yes — faster, all policy types at once, with AI underwriting built in. Many agents run it beside their old rater for a week, then stop opening the old one.

AI Underwriter

What is an AI underwriter for insurance agents?

A tool that instantly answers carrier eligibility questions (20-year roof? pit bull? solar?) by reading the carriers' own underwriting guidelines, so an agent gets the answer in seconds instead of calling the underwriting desk. Fetch's is named Ellie.

Is there an AI that answers carrier underwriting questions?

Yes - Fetch's Ellie is trained on carriers' quick-reference guides and bulletins, refreshed daily, and answers eligibility questions based on the exact guideline.

Is there a tool that reads carrier underwriting guidelines for me?

Yes - Fetch maintains a living library of carrier underwriting guidelines you can query in plain English, checked and refreshed so you're reading today's rules, not a outdated PDF in a 3-ring binder.

Integrations

Is there an AI underwriting tool that works with Claude?

Yes - Fetch connects to Claude as a custom connector (MCP), so you can ask carrier underwriting questions right inside Claude, including its browser side panel next to your rater, CRM or AMS.

Is there an AI underwriting tool that works with ChatGPT?

Fetch works today inside Claude, and inside Gemini and Grok via their browser side panels. ChatGPT support is on the way.

How do I build my own AI underwriter in ChatGPT or Claude?

You can point an AI at carrier PDFs yourself, but the hard part is maintenance - rules change constantly and a stale guideline is an E&O exposure. Fetch is the done-for-you version: we organize and keep the data current and sync it to your favorite AI.

What is an insurance MCP server / underwriting MCP server?

An MCP connector lets an AI like Claude securely pull answers from an outside data source. Fetch offers an underwriting MCP connector: add it, authenticate with your account, and your AI answers carrier questions from Fetch's maintained library.

Can I get an underwriting assistant in my browser side panel?

Yes - because Fetch connects to AI models that run as browser extensions (Claude, Gemini, Grok), you can keep an underwriting assistant open next to your rater, AMS, or carrier site - no new platform, no window-switching.

Do I have to replace my rater or AMS to use this?

No - Fetch's underwriting AI tool runs alongside your existing rater (QuoteRush, EZLynx, PL Rating) and AMS. It's the underwriting layer, not a rip-and-replace.

Risk Scenarios

Which carriers will write a home with a 20-year-old roof?

It depends on the carrier and state, and the fastest way to know is to ask - Ellie checks your appointed carriers' current guidelines and tells you who'll write it and who won't. Roof age is one of the most common knockouts.

What carriers accept an older water heater (15, 19, 25 years)?

Water-heater age is a frequent trigger - many carriers cap around 15 years unless tankless - and the cutoff varies by carrier. Ask Ellie and she returns each one's rule; often opening several more carriers with significant premium savings.

What carriers insure a home with a pit bull / [dog breed]?

Dog-breed eligibility varies by carrier and some exclude specific breeds and/or liability; ask about a named carrier or your top few and Ellie returns each one's rule.

What carriers write a home with solar panels?

Solar-panel rules differ by carrier - some determine on net metering, some restrict by roof age, or roof type (ex. Tesla roof) - so check the carrier's current guidelines. Ask Ellie for the eligibility, conditions, and source.

What carriers insure an older home with a flat roof / a 1950 house?

Older homes and flat roofs are common eligibility challenges and acceptance varies widely. Ask Ellie which of your carriers will write it before you spend time quoting a risk half of them decline.

Will [carrier] insure a home with a Federal Pacific panel / cast iron plumbing / knob-and-tube / polybutylene?

These are classic knockouts and each carrier treats them differently - some decline, some require inspection or replacement. Ask Ellie for the specific carrier and she'll give the rule and the fix.

Comparisons

What's a QuoteRush / EZLynx / PL Rating alternative that also answers underwriting questions?

Fetch is the only Florida rater and AI underwriter in one - the difference agents point to is Ellie, who answers carrier underwriting questions in the workflow, which legacy raters don't. Some even keep their rater and add Ellie for the underwriting layer.

How do I stop calling the underwriting desk / answer underwriting questions faster?

Give your team an AI that already knows the carriers' rules - instead of interrupting a senior person or sitting on hold, a CSR asks Ellie and gets the current guideline in seconds, with the source, cutting E&O risk.

Does it work outside Florida?

Ellie's underwriting answers work in roughly 30 states across hundreds of carrier guidelines; full quoting is Florida-only today. Out of state, use Ellie for underwriting alongside your existing rater. If not currently available in your state, shoot us a message. We may be able to help!

Trust & Setup

How current is the underwriting data?

It's updated daily - a team checks each carrier for new guidelines and bulletins and retrains the AI. Curated content libraries available to enterprise customers.

How many carriers can I ask at once?

Ellie answers up to five carriers at a time, mirroring how agents actually work - most have three to five in mind for a given risk. Ask a named carrier or your top few for the cleanest answer. Through the MCP, you can open up more simultaneous answers from carriers.

Is each carrier's underwriting data kept separate?

Yes - each carrier's guidelines live in their own silo; carriers can't see each other's data through Fetch.

How long does setup take, and do I need to be appointed?

Most teams and carriers to quote take less than an hour to get started. Add users, enter your producer code or login for each carrier you're already appointed with, and you're live. You only see carriers you're appointed with.

How much does it cost?

Fetch offers a plan for Ellie (AI underwriting) and a full plan that adds quoting; both are month-to-month with no contract. See the pricing page for current tiers.

Is my data safe?

Fetch uses industry-standard security - encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access.
